As the largest rooftop distributed solar project currently planned and constructed in Qingyuan, the 4,326.85kWp distributed photovoltaic (PV) system at Qingyuan Yili Industrial Park is setting a new benchmark for industrial parks in the region, driving the transition toward a green energy future.
Located in Qingcheng District, Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province, the Yili Industrial Park covers more than 517 acres and is divided into four key zones: an administrative exhibition center, multi-story production workshops, residential and utility areas, and single-story warehouse buildings.
This solar PV system is primarily installed on the rooftops of high-rise office buildings. Our technical team conducted comprehensive drone mapping and on-site structural surveys to assess the buildings' suitability, ensuring that all rooftops meet the national safety standards required for PV installation.
Integrated Design, Optimized Performance
The project smartly leverages the rooftops across all four functional zones of the park. With a modular layout tailored to each rooftop type, the system maximizes energy yield while maintaining architectural harmony.
Before installation, our team conducted panoramic drone surveys and physical inspections of each rooftop structure. This dual approach guarantees that every PV module is installed securely and efficiently, based on the unique characteristics of each building.
The project uses industry-leading 550Wp monocrystalline silicon modules known for their excellent energy conversion efficiency and temperature adaptability—perfectly suited to Qingyuan's rich solar irradiance.
The PV system adopts concrete-base mounting structures, ideal for industrial rooftops with high load-bearing capacity. These systems provide strong wind and corrosion resistance, ensuring reliable performance over the long term.
▲ Installed Capacity | 4326.85 KWp |
▲ Daily Effective Power Generation Time | 4H |
▲ Daily Effective Power Generation | 17307.4 Kwh |
▲ Power Consumption | Photovoltaic power generation, 80%-100% full consumption by the investor |
▲Investment & Return Cycle | 5 years |
▲ Usable Life | 20 years |
Multi-Dimensional Value Creation
The system is expected to reduce carbon emissions by over 4,000 tons annually, aligning with China's carbon peaking and neutrality targets while enhancing the park’s green image.
By consuming 100% of the solar power generated on-site, the industrial park significantly reduces its dependence on the public grid, improving power reliability and reducing energy costs.
Idle rooftop space is transformed into a profitable renewable energy asset, providing long-term economic benefits without disrupting existing building operations.
Equipped with an intelligent solar operations and maintenance platform, the system offers real-time monitoring, automated fault alerts, smart diagnostics, and full data visualization.
Since 2021, Rong'an County has accelerated its clean energy infrastructure with wind power, centralized PV, distributed rooftop PV, and energy storage projects. The successful commissioning of the Hengjia rooftop solar project contributes to this momentum — offering a replicable model for other industrial enterprises seeking to transition toward green, low-carbon operations.
